Happy Birthday Yesterday

Wow! nineteen years ago #1 son was born.

I remember thinking he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

Lately life has been a bit stressful(understatement) and overwhelming (major understatement). I sat next to #1 in church Sunday and focused on blending our voices in song. His beautiful high tenor, my sore throat-ed alto, blending in songs of praise and peace. His arm around me, holding me, keeping me calm and quiet during worship services the way I held him, singing, so many times.

How does a child become an adult so quickly? So beautifully?

Happy Birthday beautiful son. Thank you for your grace and strength, your beautiful voice, your tender soul. I love you!

What a handsome dude!!! I can't believe it's been 19 years. Where does the time go? I don't want my kids to grow up. I just want to freeze them and keep them little so they will always want to snuggle with me. I just hope I can do even half as good as you have done raising your beautiful boys. Love you ALL!

It's hard to believe that this is the same kid that was running around the yard of a little brick house on center street(or was it Main) in Springville. That was a beautiful time in your life! Amazing, all the things that have come and gone since that beautiful time.

Happy late birthday to him!

High tenor and sore-throat alto are usually about the same pitch, no? That's what I've found:)
