Never Fails

If you wake up and put on a grungy old t-shirt and sweats, go for a run, come home really stinky and do a little yard work, mud and grass stains, then the dishes, wet belly, and If your hair is really awful and you opt out of putting your shoes back on before dropping your youngest off at kindergarten.

Yep!

You'll have to pry him out of the car, carry him in past all the cute little mommies and daddies kissing their first little child good-bye while your stubborn baby of the family repeats over and over, "I'm SO not going to kindergarten today!" at the top of his lungs.

Then you'll have to sit, looking suspiciously like a homeless person, for 10 minutes at the door by the, "Quick good-byes leave dry eyes!" sign so he doesn't run out and head for home, again.

Never fails!

Hey-but at least you know you got A LOT accomplished before taking the child to school. Those cute parents? Probly only woke up to get ready. And they'll go home and still have to exercise and garden and do dishes that you've already finished:)

Of course! Whenever you do something that has the potential to embarrass, you will be caught!

Ack. I was going to say it never fails that the bishop stops by to say hello, but maybe that's just me...

I so proud of you, at least you weren't in your blue chicken pounding bath robe!

I love you!

So did he survive the day?

WOW! I can't believe how much you did BEFORE school! Impressive... although your looks may not have been. ;0) My boys always cringe with my hair and makeup are not "done". They ask my NOT to come into school.

Oh the love.

Thanks for the laugh. We have all been there. I hope he is adjusting!

My friend is an actress in LA and she gets asked for autographs when she grocery shops that way. Awesome.

God love em, the babies always have the best stories!

7 Boys! Yep! You win the award! I only have a piddly 5. My youngest was so excited to go to kindergarten. He's the only one I didn't homeschool for kindergarten. He loved it. Loved the food (yuck!), loved the terrific teacher, loved the friends--not so crazy about reading. I bet other moms just look at you in awe! I love your blog!

Geez, all too familiar. I used to drop my nephew at preschool some days in between "darkroom duty" (student labour - scrubbing the photography labs first thing in the morning before the rest of the students turned up) and lectures at uni and have to sit around waiting to go in with all the doctor and solicitor types that had their kids at his fancy schmancy school... I was smelling like chemicals (that happen to smell like vomit) with odd damp patches all over my clothes and looking rather disheveled from getting up WAY too early in the morning... They probably just thought I was a derro that hadn't gone home since last night.

You got a lot done before going to school!!

It is so true though. I always get caught by someone I know when I go out looking my worst.
