Toothsome Tuesday

Saturday night for dinner we ate corn dogs, watermelon, and corn on the cob.

We weren't at a carnival or a fair.

No children were involved in the meal planning.

I'm a little scared of what this means for the rest of our meals this summer.

I looked good serving my menfolk their dog-ka-bobs. (See actual photo below)

Is it just me or has your summer menu gone white trashy too?

Yup. There with you....wonder what back to school will bring. More blogging and back to friends for me...hugs. Missed you. Been too long since I been around. Hope all is well, I will have to spend some time catching up with you!

Nope, just you :)

My children eat a balanced meal every night, no matter how tired I am, how lazy I am or how much they beg and plead for "just chicken skin, because I wont eat the rest anyway"...

You believe me don't you????

DON'T YOU??????

Is cereal white trash, coz that's all we've eaten for three months.

I don't think cereal has enough nitrates to be considered true white trash cuisine, it's faux trashy.

Hey! Glad to meet another mom of boys! Read through your blog and LOVED the story of pulling out the knife from under the seat of the teen driven suburban! Have to admit that my mouth fell open when your page came up and your family photo stunned me - You surrounded by all those wonderful men! What a blessing! I'll be back to keep up with your stories,

Sounds like a well-balanced meal to me!

I would NEVER serve a white trash meal. Nope. Nothing but healthy stuff for us...

wait a minute...

do NOT open my freezer. I am just storing those Costco boxes of corn dogs and chicken nuggets for a neighbor... Yes, I am telling the truth.

(And, I always look that good after a long day and slaving over dinner, too. Yet another thing we have in common!)

I think you are okay unless you are serving top ramen and chicken nuggets( microwave not baked)!

p.s. cereal is a dessert around our house.

We are WAAAYYYY past white trash cuisine. Tonight Logan and Eiley had cold pizza and an apple, Michaela had a cheese stick, goldfish, and an apple. Aaron had toaster pastries, and I had a glass of lemonade. I'm going to cook again...promise....sometime....when I find my kitchen under the dirty counters and filled to the brim sink. Hey, at least I threw the apples in there!

At my house we're working on anything left in the cupboards. I'm being "a little" lazy about grocery shopping.
