Mondays Mutterings

Does anyone else think g-mail sounds naughty? Or am I the only one that giggles inside every time I hear it?

I have a terrible icky confession. I have mice. It makes me feel dirty just saying it. We inherited the mice with our house. I've heard that during the Great Depression hobo's would mark homes where kindness and a warm meal could be found were living in a marked house. Bet none of you knew that this economic downturn effected the rodent population, yep, I think, thanks to my crumby boys, we've got a rodent stimulus package going on right here at Boy House. Since I can't set traps for the boys I'm setting traps for the mice. You'd think that the overwhelming smell of straight chlorine bleach would be clue the little beasties in but alas they just waltz right into the traps and then I feel guilty all day. Sigh!

May I recommend coloring? Yes, coloring like you did when you were a little kid. Sunday Adorable Hubby and all 8 of our sons sat around the table coloring. Such peace and tranquility has not blessed our house for many days.

I bought a cute shirt on Saturday for, wait for it... $6.00 I love deals and I love having something new to wear.

#6 has been learning a lot in first grade. He announced tonight that he can count to 100 in high fives. Way to go #6 give me five.

My sister has been in the hospital for a week and a half fighting for her life and quality of life. She suffered a ruptured aneurysm. Her name is Laura, she and her beautiful family could use your prayers.

Hugs and love to all my bloggy friends.

Happy Monday!

We used to get mice off and on at our old house... could NOT figure out where they were coming from! YUCK!! So sorry about those little boogers!

I will be praying for your sister and her family. May God surrond them with peace, comfort, and healing.

Off to color... sounds wonderful!

First, prayers are going out for your sister!

Next ugh. Mice. No bueno. I have such an aversion to any type of vermin, I feel so sad for you! When we had cats we never had mice. Since the kitties are gone, we get a mouse every now and then from the fields. Those sticky traps seem to do the trick with us. Good luck.

And on a last note, my gramma and grampa were a marked house. Gramma would always talk tough about "tramps and bums" but she always managed to leave a plate out on the back fence every night.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister!! Will definitely say a prayer for her.

Mice are sneaky little things and they never get a clue.

I love to color! My daughter and I color all the time. It's very soothing.

Coloring is awesome. I buy myself new crayons every year!
I hate mice. We have had them before, and we have also had wood rats. Those are NO FUN!

Oh my!! I'm so sorry for your sister!! We will be having her and her family in our thoughts and prayers. It really can happen to any of us. I was just very lucky. Just a little side note: make sure they test her for Factor V Leiden. If she's positive...then you all need to be tested. I'm hoping she gets well soon and FIGHTS HARD!!!

I have noticed you haven't been your chipper self lately. I'm so sorry! I will pray for her too. I really hope she gets better soon.

We had two mice back when I kept the chocolate chips in a mice-accessible drawer. One time in the middle of the night, I guess we both had cravings, and when I opened the drawer it popped up and scared the living crap out of me! I didn't feel too bad about killing them after that. And strangely, it didn't curb my penchant for midnight snacking. Oh well. Good luck with them!

*BIG HUG* and here's a spare to pass on to your sister *HUG*. Praying for her and for all of you!

Kill the grotty little mouse monsters. Don't feel guilty. Try blaming them for the wild gastro bug you all got a little bit ago, or the pig flu... unlikely that it was them that had anything to do with it, but it'll make you feel HEAPS better about killing the suckers.
